First blog ever! I'm super excited to get this started! Okay, let's go!
Now, most of you who know me know that I really do not like to write. At all. However, with me being in a college writing class and writing everyday through that class, I figure that even though I don't enjoy writing whatsoever, that I will force myself to like it. Don't get me wrong, I fully understand how important writing is, but writing is just something I have never enjoyed doing and I always thought that as long as I knew how to get a point across to someone, I was fine. But, I found out that I was wrong and that it is more than just making something understandable. There are many different types of writing. However, with the field of work that I'm hoping to get into someday (Early Childhood Education), I never thought that writing was a super important thing to make sure I had perfected.
I want to get something as clear as possible. I don't want anyone to think that I haven't taken any writing classes after two and a half years in high school. I have taken all of the required writing classes to graduate from high school. Classes such as Speech, Research Paper, Essay Writing and Note-taking. Now, I understand that those classes don't seem like enough, but let me tell you, those classes were not easy.
I must apologize now. I can get easily distracted when I get on little "rants" so you'll just have to work with me. (:
Two weeks ago, I started a college class, Comp 1. I'm going to be completely honest. I was so nervous, I cried two days and the day before the class. I hate disappointing people. Mainly my dad. Not that he gets angry or punishes me for not doing well, but disappointing my dad is just something I have always dreaded. But so far so good. I got an A- on my first short paper and I just turned in my second short paper and I'm crossing my fingers that my teacher will like this one a lot more.
I'm really sorry that that isn't a lot, but I need some beauty rest and I can't think straight when I'm tired! :P
